In the course of 20 years of development work at the grassroots level, the organization has acquired special skills and experience in community led initiative. As one of the leading organizations in the state, it has a high standing as a reliable committed organization in various circles.  This is borne out by the fact that the Government has nominated APOWA to various state and district level consultative/ advisory committees from time to time. Funding agencies too, hold a very favourable impression for APOWA, because of its reach at the grassroots level, consistency in field and community involvement, and transparent in project management and judicious handling of funds. We have been working in most remote and natural disaster prone areas of Odisha state, India. These are one of the most vulnerable and backward districts of Odisha state and India.
