Dr Laxman Behera-(M.V.SC) was worked as Director of Dept of Animal Resources Development, Govt of Odisha. Dr Behera was a retd. veterinarian and served as Chief District Veterinary Officer for Kendrapara and Cuttack district. His specialist interest is in animal welfare. He has been working in this field in Odisha for the past 35 years. He worked and supported APOWA honorarily from the beginning to present
Dr Sudhakar Kar- MSc, MPhil (Marine Biology), PhD (Environmental Sciences), Retd. Senior Scientific Research Officer, Wildlife Wing, Forest and Environment Department, Govt of Odisha, India. He is a renowned wildlife scientist in Odisha and India. His specialist area(s) are studies on reptilian fauna of Odisha, studies on biodiversity and conservation, animal behaviour in aquatic ecosystem. He is also member of IUCN/SSC Specialist Group. He has been guided graduate, post graduate and M.Phil students for preparation project works and dissertation.
Dr Braja Sundar Mishra, Ph. D.(MSW) is ex-professor of School of Rural Management, KIIT University, Odisha. He has been freelancing on knowledge development in livelihoods, governance, social policy, natural resource management; knowledge management; mentoring & counseling, He has a PhD in development studies, having 18 years of experiences in working with Government of India ( in Group -A Service) , Social Corporate like BASIX. Teaching, Research, Consulting Assignments and MDPs are core area of activities. He teaches Rural Production System and Livelihoods, Natural Resource Management, Development Theory and Practices. Excel as a support for catalyzing sustainable economic development to empower the poor excluded by the mainstream economy and livelihood opportunities.
Dr Chandra Sekhar Bahinipati- working as Assistant Professor for Gujarat Institute of Development Research (GIDR) and Ph.D. (Economics) 2015: Madras Institute of Development Studies (MIDS), Chennai, India (through University of Madras, India).

Mr Manoj Kumar Satapathy, (MSc Botany) has been working as environmental and science teacher for USAK Govt High school. He guides and mentorship of scientific projects prepare by students always with a practical and conservation purpose. He was a state awarded (Govt of Odisha) teacher for his sincerity and punctuality. Apart from that, he was received Prakuti Bandhu award by Dept of Forest and Environment, Govt of Odisha for his noble work for conservation of nature and natural resources. He has also received Biju Pattnaik Wildlife Award by Dept of Forest and Environment, Govt of Odisha for his association for conservation of wildlife.
Advocate Bijaya Kumar Rout, (M.A. L.L.B.) 30 years of expertise in social and educational development sectors. He is the founder of APOWA and also force behind this excellence team. He is also involved and associate with many educational institutes.
Mr Bijaya Kumar Kabi (M.A. in Social Science) has been known for their commitment to protect, restoration of mangroves and coastal wetlands in Odisha. He has exemplified with his visionary and excellence leadership in achieving the reputation and bringing automatic recognition in the field of nature conservation. Mr Kabi has already proven capacity and a team of youth along with the strength of local community base. Mr. Bijaya and his team have over 15 years practical action and experience in community based and community led nature conservation work. Since 2004 , he has been working as Director, Action for Protection of Wild Animals (APOWA). Worked as Conservation Educator, International Zoo Educators Association of South Asian Regional Network in the year 2007 and 2008, Worked as Honorary Animal Welfare Officer, Animal Welfare Board of India,Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt of India from 2006 to 2009. He is the member Emergency Relief Network, Wildlife Trust of India- International Fund for Animal welfare(IFAW) . He has been appointed as special officer(Voluntarily), Wildlife Crime Control Buero(WCCB), Govt of India. He has received Go-rakhyak award in 2015, SCART Odisha award in 2001.
